Hooks

A hook is a short rule with numbers. It reads the organism's state and the price, and may propose an order: an amount of ETH to spend on buying the coin on its curve and burning what it bought. The model never decides an amount.

A hook fires only if (1) you turned it on, (2) the current tier allows it, (3) its cooldown has passed and (4) the caps leave room.

Buyback drip

Each cycle, burn a set share of the treasury.

SettingDefaultRange
dripPct101 to 50

Example: treasury 0.10 ETH, drip 10%: the order is 0.01 ETH, then clamped by the caps. The cooldown (default 30 minutes) makes it slow on purpose.

Dip defender

If the price is a set percentage under its level a set time ago, burn a larger share once, then wait the cooldown.

SettingDefaultRange
dropPct82 to 60
windowMin6010 to 1440
spendPct201 to 50

The reference price is the organism's own log: the last point at least windowMin minutes old. With less history than that the hook says price history too short and does not fire. It does not chase a rising price and it holds no inventory: what it buys is burned.

If both hooks fire in one cycle, the dip defender goes first, then the drip, and together they cannot pass the caps.

Say

Not a rule on money: every action is announced in one sentence. The model writes it when the battery can pay for a call. Otherwise a template does, and the journal tags the line template.

Where the buy happens

On the bonding curve while the coin is on it, in its Uniswap v4 pool after graduation. The order is the same; the venue only changes how the buy is executed and how much a thin pool can take. See Graduation.

What a hook cannot do

It cannot sell. It cannot buy anything but its own coin. It cannot send tokens or ETH to an address (the dev payout is not a hook: it is the fixed share of each claim, to one address, see Fees and the dev share). It cannot spend the gas reserve. It cannot exceed the daily ceiling.

Why burn and not hold

A buyback that is held can be sold back, and then it is a trading position with a creator's fees as capital. A burn is the one use of the fees a holder can check against the supply and that cannot be quietly undone.
